I've finally arrived in Germany yesterday and I was so happy. Had a great day visiting places that I had longed to revisit for many years.
But then my heart broke. I learned that my very good friend Wright Emory (aka Steve Shovel, Sam Spade's distant relative) had passed away.
Wright was my colleague, good friend, confidant and kindred spirit. Words cannot express the grief and sense of loss that I now have. I won't try. Fortunately I have many photos of Wright as a constant reminder but I will forever miss him at all the games and our chats afterwards.
