It's that time of year!

Color me happy. Baseball is back in town.

Friday 25 Feb marks when I was back in the dugout of a local baseball game. There were all the familiar sights, the familiar sounds - the sounds of cleats on concrete - music to my ears. I won't comment on the familiar smells.

I was back shooting High School baseball. The First Flight Nighthawks hosted a scrimmage against local law enforcement officers - the Blue Line Bombers. It was a fund raising event and the last event was 2019 pre-Covid. Of course, 2019 seems a lifetime ago.

It's always a lot of fun. There's a lot of laughter, good-natured ribbing, and some competitive trash-talking (usually against guys on your own team).

It was another sign that PERHAPS things are starting to return to some state of normalcy. Baseball is my north star. It was great seeing it shine again brightly over KDH.

Until next time, be kind, be safe, and follow your north star.
