Day 8 (Sunday) Truckin'

Left Paris today on a French Express train to Strasbourg, a very old and beautiful city on the Rhine river (which means that I'll be soooo close to Deutschland). Strasbourg was the first city that I ever visited in Europe - I attended a conference there when I had just started with NASA. It's where I caught the bug I suppose for European towns and cultures.

Strasbourg includes a lot of German influences such as the food and you often see signs in German and people speaking a mix of German and French.

Strasbourg existed back in Medieval times and the city in various places tried to stay true to that heritage. Beautiful buildings line multiple canals and waterways.

A must see is the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg, especially since the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is under repair due to the fire.

Until next time, be safe, be good and question is, will we make it Germany? Place your bets!
