April showers bring a full month of baseball in May

Hopefully you've missed my blog. Or at least you noticed that I haven't posted in over a week.

May has been and will be a very busy month for me traveling and shooting college baseball.

Last week I was the photographer for the Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship in Wilson, NC. I shot the series last year and it was a lot of great baseball at historic Fleming Stadium (they also shot a scene in the movie Bull Durham there). It was ditto this year. But this year we battled mid-to-high 80s weather, rain, and temperatures in the low 40s. There were lightning delays. There were rain delays. Who would have thought that I needed gloves (which I left at home) in May!

Result: some mighty LONG days at the parks. All and all I shot over 20,000 frames and got some shots that I really, really like. Although my feet were barking loud I loved it.

Next week I head to Butler, PA for the NCBA (National Club Baseball Association) DII World Series. That's a week of double elimination ball.

Following that I fly from Pittsburgh to Greenville-Spartenburg for the NCBA DI WS at Lander University. Again a week of double elimination ball.

I hope to post at least a few posts during these WS playoffs but after 15 hours I b tared.

Until next time, be kind, be safe, and I hope that you will enjoy some baseball this month. I know I will.
