I was DEBATING about what to do today (Sunday 19 Jan) because there was some rain predicted for the late afternoon early evening. And because it was to be cold as well, I certainly didn't want to far from home base and get caught in the rain. Hmmmmmm, what too do.

Before I headed to the RDU Airport, my main man Buck said "Hey, Uncle Rick, can you get some pictures of HJKKJR^%&^F". I really had no idea what he was talking about but I was determine to interpret his request once I was over in Tokyo. I asked his mom and then shed asked Buck and I learned that he was interested in Gundam characters.

Well, I now knew what he had said but I certainly didn't know what he had meant. But after some Googling I discovered that there was a prime candidate for a "Gundam photo.

I headed off on a subway car and then had to change to an automatic train (sort of like a tram but on steroids). The journey has more than half the fun of the adventure as as I moved into the uncharted territory of Koto City. Koto City is on a man-made island just east of Tokyo proper and the buildings and "vibes" are much different than in the "city."

My destination was the Divers Tokyo Plaza a GIGANTIC mall of sorts. I wasn't going there to shop but to take pictures of the "Unicorn Gundam" standing in from of the "mall."

Well, let me tell you that there's no way to miss the Unicorn. It is huge and stands over 4 stories high. When I arrived the Gundam was in "attack mode ". I did some research, and discovered that he/she/it would change back to the Unicorn in two hours. Of course, I can't let Buck down so I hung around for two hours and then positioned myself to capture all the action.

The transform was neat but I was hoping for more. After I got some photos in the can I headed back to my hotel. Didn't do anymore exploring due to the weather but there is tomorrow.

Until next time, be safe, be kind and peace out people.
