After a 3.5 hour ride on a very busy train, I'm back to where this adventure started - Munich. I was too busy to post another post from Würzburg because I was out all day both retracing my path from Thursday and adding a lot more mileage to the shoes to see a large number of new sites. I tell ya, my dogs were really barking (will someone please explain this phrase to my sister) and after downloading and backing up all the photos "I was tarred."
The reason I revisited a lot of sites was because even though the views or objects were beautiful, my photos were fairly drab and grey because of the dark wintery skies. I'm sure you could tell that in the few photos that I posted.
Partly sunny skies were predicted for Friday and the forecast was correct, kind of, sort of. The skies, and hence the lighting conditions, changed every 10 minutes or so and I actually saw the Sun!
So I trekked as far and as fast as I needed to to get some good photos. My favorite, because of the peace and quietness (early any tourists were out), were the gardens of the Residence Palace. Would be a great place to recharge your battery if it wasn't so &^&(%$ cold when the Sun went behind a cloud.
So mark down Würzburg as another city in Germany that I visited and hope to visit soon.
Until next time, be safe, be kind and peace out people.
