OK, so the last time i posted i was in taipei.Well, now i'm in Munich, germany on day 2 of a 3 week sojourn. jeez, you must be saying, what happened in taiwan and what are you doing in germany?

These are excellent questions. Unfortunately I wasn't able to post any more updates in Taiwan because I was busy seeing all the sights and enjoying time with my hosts Cheng-Chien and Sophie. They were the most excellent of hosts and I saw, and did, many things for the first time. Some of the highlights were: going to several night markets; taking a small boat ride to a barrier island and then eating fresh, roasted oysters; taking another boat ride through a protected mangrove park; experiencing another earth quake; enjoying numerous hot pot; riding a train made of wood built by the Japanese during their occupation of Taiwan; seeing ancient works of Chinese art that were thousands of years old; and giving a talk (lecture) to the National Academy of Marine Sciences, That's just a part of it so as you can see I was very busy. If you'd like to see some more of the photos that I took, please to go:

I had planned my trip to Germany even before I went to Taiwan. This trip I'm going to try and visit a lot of Christmas Markets - they are indeed magical and the help transport one from all the craziness of the world.

Next Blog I'll share some of my adventures in Deutschland, so be sure to come along, it'll be fun..

Until next time, be safe, be kind and peace out people.
