Captain's log Day 27: remember the improvise overcome thing I MENTIONED earlier?

Not everyday on a long trip is candy and roses sports fans. Nope, sometimes ya gotta take care of business such as taking a shower other than a Navy shower and doing laundry. Most of the places where I stay don't typically have a laundry service so I stopped checking a long time ago. I suppose I could try and find a laundry-mat but that seems like too much effort.

Today is Mr. Clean day. After a long refreshing shower I start laundry. This is a time consuming task as I do my laundry in the sink. The sinks at the hotel where I always stay in Munich are quite small, so it generally takes the good part of a day. While things are soaking in the sinking I watch YouTube videos. This trip I'm been binge watching collections of "Whose Line is it Anyway." The videos are funny, mindless entertainment - I really enjoy them.

To date, I've stayed at 11 different hotels during this trip. Some rooms were so small you could almost reach across the room by spreading your arms and some were large enough for a family of 4 (like the room in Perth). I'm not particularly picky about the rooms as long as there's a spot for me and my computer/camera stuff and I can regulate the temperature to where it's on the cool-to-cold side (I can't sleep in a hot room). What's most important is location, location, location. I've picked all the hotels based on how close they were to a train station. So far, that part has worked well.

I randomly took photos of a few of the rooms to document the nesting behavior of a RTW traveler. Now, some may fuss at the mess but remember this is a documentary of the trip not a Hollywood staged version of the trip.

Bis zum nächsten Mal, be safe, be kind and peace out Leute.
